Peanut Butter Blueberry Smoothie

Get ready to savour the goodness of my go-to smoothie— the Peanut Butter Blueberry Smoothie. It's a blend that satisfies your taste buds while delivering a nutritious punch to fuel your day.

Peanut Butter Blueberry Smoothie

Serves 1

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1 sliced frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

  • 1/4 cup cottage cheese

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/4 cup oats

  • 1 Tbsp almond/peanut butter

  • 1-2 tsp cocoa powder (optional)

  • Optional: 2 Tbsp milk of choice or more

  1. Begin by adding all the ingredients to your blender.

  2. Use the extract button or blend on high speed until the mixture achieves a thick and velvety texture. For a smoothie bowl consistency, skip the extra milk. If you prefer a sippable smoothie, slowly incorporate milk until you reach your desired consistency.

  • Elevate the protein content by including cottage cheese in your smoothie; it surpasses the protein levels found in yogurt.

  • Adjust the milk quantity based on your preferred consistency or the power of your blender.

Why I Love This Smoothie: This smoothie is not just a treat for the taste buds; it's a nutritional powerhouse. The fusion of antioxidant-rich blueberries, potassium-loaded banana, protein-packed cottage cheese, and the wholesome fibre from the chia seeds and oats makes it a perfect go-to meal or snack.

Health Benefits:

  • Blueberries provide a burst of antioxidants.

  • Banana adds natural sweetness and potassium.

  • Cottage cheese boosts protein and calcium intake.

  • Chia seeds and oats contribute fibre for a satisfying and filling meal or snack.

Variations: Feel free to get creative! Consider adding a handful of spinach for a nutrient boost or a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavour. Try this with different varieties of frozen fruit or with different types of nut butters.
